I can't imagine the reaction of the horrified "sweet young blonde customer service representative"
she could have wished her employer never heard of the tweet or never familiar with twitter at all.
LOL!
This could be a lesson to learn for people who act before they think. Every act has a consequence.

Being unplugged is torment for me!

I panic I will lose visibility, that questions have gone unanswered and I appear rude.

It is usually the weekends when I am mostly unplugged which is a dillema in itself as so many of my friends are conversing on Twitter with more time to engage thanks to no work load.

I even trained my 83 year old Dad on Twitter to make it easier on me!

But I do have to have a life offline too to be with family and friends in 3D :)

MY son (8 years old) experienced the same case just yesterday 15 july 2010, he lost his FB account and gmail account, he was so sad and unhappy, cause he plays FB for playing games, and he already achieved high level in some games for he competes with his school friend for it. I wonder if anyone could help me to get his account back.

Hi Allen! Great recap of the 1st day of Dell CAP. It was SUCH a joy to meet you finally! Sorry, had to say that ;) The event itself was very interesting, and I'm not sure that Dell knew exactly what to expect, but I think they communicated to everyone that they ARE listening, and will take the feedback they heard seriously.

I hope they do, as they have a real chance to make serious progress and improvements if they do.

I'm glad you feel the same way and I appreciate the comment (thankyouthankyouthankyou) on my fledgling and often neglected blog. I had the impression that enough higher up types were invested in the effort that dell will actually implement not just make noise. Guess we'll see! ;)

I agree Allen. I also feel hopeful for Dell and I do think they listened to what we said. Now I hope they have the flexibility to implement some of the suggestions they heard.

I agree. This was definitely the wrong way for the reporter to go about getting information. People sometimes forget that there is a real human behind the avatars we see. Then again, this is the press we are talking about and they are not known for caring about our feelings as long as they get their story.

As a father of five children, I see this as an incredible wrong done to your son. At 17 years old, though very grown up in many ways, is still not always prepared for the trespasses of others. I am very sorry he had to find out that way.
